The “European Cluster Manager of the Year" and “European Cluster Partnership of the Year” Awards are organised by the European Commission with the support of the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), as a unique opportunity to celebrate the achievements of cluster managers and cluster partnerships, highlighting specifically their efforts and commitment to cluster development as well as to promote and reckon the role of clusters as agents of change, steering and effectively impacting their industrial ecosystem.
The selection process to grant such awards will be organized in three phases:
The voting will close on Day 1 of the Conference and will be followed by a celebratory Awards Ceremony, during which the winners of each Award will be announced.
Cluster organisations play a key role in boosting the economic growth and competitiveness in Europe. There are over 1000 cluster organisations registered on the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They are managed by people who dedicate their professional life to bring together different actors of industrial ecosystems. They facilitate the cooperation between cluster members and promote their activities, which are effective springboards and "transformation and growth accelerators" for accelerating SMEs internationalisation.
The Cluster Manager of the Year Award provides an opportunity for European cluster managers to showcase their achievements and for the European Commission to promote the role and achievements of clusters with regard to their contribution to the updated EU Industrial Strategy implementation.

Criterion 1: Excellence in the management of your cluster organisation and its development
Criterion 2: Active involvement in cluster related activities at EU/international level
Criterion 3: Effectiveness in promoting the cluster organisation and its activities

European Cluster Partnerships are particularly important for developing industrial ecosystems as well as for putting a partnering process in place for strategic collaboration through which enterprises, notably SMEs, together with other innovation actors, can be supported in finding partners with complementary competences and accessing cross-European and global value chains.
This Award provides an opportunity for your European Cluster Partnership to showcase your efforts and for the European Union to reward a noticeable example of successful collaboration between clusters across Europe.
